Replacing missing/broken tools?
The shop committee makes sure that replacement parts and tools are ordered as needed. Currently, our distributor is QBP (Quality Bike Parts). Usually, orders are placed when the total reaches about $500, the point at which we get free shipping. Volunteers can help make sure everything we need gets ordered by adding needed items to the next order list. If you'd like to help compile and place orders, contact the Shop Committee.
Who Does What?.
Because Free Ride is committed to non-heirarchical organizing we encourage all volunteers to become familiar with all aspects of running the shop by taking responsibility for making sure needed tasks get done. We have a number of committees with specific responsibilities within the collective as well as liaisons who communicate with other organizations.
